For Maurizio, hair transcends mere profession; it’s an art form inherited through three generations of hairdressers. Raised in a family salon, he cultivated an international career, trained by some of the industry’s most esteemed institutions.  His technical foundation was built and honed at Vidal Sassoon in London at Toni & Guy in Milan.  He became Shay Dempsey’s personal assistant, the World Creative Director of Sebastian Professional.

 

Maurizio’s commitment to sharing his expertise is evident in his years spent as a Cut and Styling Educator for Sebastian Professional in Milan and teaching styling at the Aveda Academy in Milan.

 

His global career has taken him from London and Milan to Sydney and Dublin.  Maurizio’s portfolio showcases his work in fashion, theatre television and film.  In Italy, he contributed to the intricate wig making team of historic Teatro Giuseppe Verdi.  In London, he collaborated with leading wig-making houses to create bespoke pieces for major stage, television and film productions.  His transition to the screen led to years of continuous work on major global productions including Bridgerton , Loki 2 and many more.

Beyond his technical expertise, Maurizio’s work is subtly influenced by a lifelong passion for literature, music and the arts and crafts. This deep cultural appreciation imbues his creations with a refined sense of balance harmony and timeless taste.  Renowned for his calm gentle and highly professional demeanour Maurizio fosters a reassuring and relaxed atmosphere for his clients ensuring every consultation and styling session is peaceful and fully enjoyable.

 

Now based in the Mexican Caribbean Maurizio brings his extensive international experience artistic precision and effortless high-end styling directly to Tulum.
